Cat Tail Farm was the name our son gave to our little half acre in suburban Bothell, WA. He always has loved cattail plants, but he also loves cats and their tails. Needless to say it took me almost a year to figure out which one he was trying to name our “farm.” This blog is really just a place for me to post what we are up to here on the farm, and a place for those close to us to see what’s going on around here. I’m not going to worry too much about how it looks, my misspellings, or care too much about being anything other than candid in my posts.
Cat Tail Farm is place where we live as a loving family, putting God first, family second, and friends third. Work and ministry follow after that, because our friends are our extended family and we love them as if they truly are our brothers and sisters. We enjoy having people over for dinner and hosting some fairly large BBQs and parties in an extremely casual environment.
We haven’t fully embraced the “farm/homesteader” lifestyle as we are still vastly connected with the modern world. We do our best to compost, raise some of our own food, buy organic and local when we choose to afford to do so, homeschool our son, support local and global charities, and at the same time we race cars when we can, watch movies, work a full time job, and try to help anyone out who needs us whenever we can.

Philippians 4:8 – Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Joshua 1:9 – Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
